The Black widow has the classic hourglass red markings on the abdomen. So, one should always be warned that the widow is black on top and its marking on the bottom.
Black widows are not aggressive and do not leave their webs to hunt. You should be ok on the boat...just watch where you put your hands.
I don't think it's a widow, since there's no red marking
