Bougainvillea spectabilis

Description:

Bougainvillea is a genus of flowering plants native to South America from Brazil west to Peru. Mostly used as an ornamental plant, it's flower is actually small and it's leaves are colored. Brought in July 1827 by a French navigator.

Habitat:

Evergreen with constant rainfall, deciduous if dry
