Two Tailed Lizard

Hemidactylus.sp

Description:

"In the Italian country side ,two tailed lizards were considered to be lucky for anyone who could catch one. Since they were not common finding one almost certainly ensured the person a good fortune."-From the newspaper report in Indian Express in which my spotting was featured on 23 October,2009. I believe that it is a rare phenomenon, but I am not very sure of that. Tail shedding is a common tactic of many lizards,to escape from predators. But here there might have been some mistake to the code given for regeneration. But how it manage its balance is puzzling.

Notes:

I first saw it in my house at 12o clock, midnight. I was studying and it just jumped on my books and I freaked out seeing this freak. Then we became friend. It used to come everyday from then one. One day I got to take some pictures of him/her and this is it. It was definitely not pleased with me taking the picture so it ran out.

Hi Janelle, I would say it has brought me luck, my 10th standard marks were not so bad [it was pretty good]. Exams are partly our work and partly luck. So I guess, I did my work and my 'luck' did the other half. I am really happy that you liked it.

Well, they featured it (your images) in the Indian Express so I'd say it has brought you good luck or fortune, eh? Wonderful find and capture, Namitha!!
