Haitian Brown Haired Tarantula

Description:

A large tarantula that measures up to 20 centimeters across. Long brown hairs cover its body, giving the tarantula its name.

Habitat:

This spider inhabits a variety of habitats ranging from woodlands, to open grasslands, to urban areas.

Notes:

My first wild tarantula, this was an exciting find for me while I was in Haiti.
