Hi cufcal64, thanks for drawing my attention to your spotting, I am pretty sure that yours is indeed Plexipuss paykulli as you suggested in your comment to me. If you take a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plexippus_... you will see that the second picture there is a male P. paykulli and it looks exactly like yours, except yours is a better picture. You mentioned that your photo was "a little unclear", but it looks fine to me. As you can see in my shots, my pictures are all out of focus. I'm not sure if its the lens or the camera body that's causing the problem. I'll need to have it fixed. But to come back to the spider, I have to say that I am not a spider expert, far from it. I still struggling with my specimen, it doesn't quite match yours, so I will have to stick with Carrhotus sp. for now. I will probably have to pester one or two of my favourite rangers to help me out. (If I pester them too much, they might throw me out). Thanks again. Happy spotting. John B.
