Description:

Cap dark yellow (indicating an older mushroom), with radial wrinkling and slightly sticky to the touch; 2.0 inches diameter; flesh, non-staining when cut. Gills, white, attached to the stem by a notch and a tiny tooth that runs down the stem. Stem, approximately 7 inches; stem doesn’t stain. No odor. Cap doesn’t stain with KOH. Spore print, white. Spores, approximately 15-17µ x 7-10µ.

Lone mushroom growing In shaded area at the edge of a lake in a deciduous forest.
