Description:

Fast moving wings, like a humming bird, even when it landed on my plant and side of house. Brown, tan and white markings, long antennae.

Habitat:

Desert, suburbs, gardens. Found in Central America north through Mexico and most of the United States.

Though very similar in appearance, Hyles livornica, only has a range in Northwestern India, whereas, the White-lined Sphinx is a common find in North and Central America.
