Blue-footed Booby

Sula nebouxii

Description:

A blue-footed booby sunning after swimming.

Habitat:

Pacific Ocean from California to the Galapagos Islands

Notes:

Like many island animals that know no predators, these birds completely lacked fear towards human beings. While they are slow and extremely silly looking on earth, they are great swimmers and have fierce encounters with the frigate birds in the air.
