Cortinarius sp.?

Description:

Solid looking mushrooms about 150mm across the largest cap and maybe 130mm tall. The caps seemed to have a distinct white, waxy 'bloom' on the top over a cream colored surface. The margin was quite inrolled even though these seemed like old specimens. Gills free, pale yellow; stipe solid, fibrous looking, white.

Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll eucalyptus plantation on extensive highway division.

Didn't take spores sorry LWP. (Been told to avoid from them for a while! :) But in my original pics it looks like tan colored staining on the stipe so corts might be a good direction. Thanks for that - I'll search for it later today.

Spore print color? If orange, try to key it out using Cortinarius.

I might be wrong though.
