Varanus nuchalis

Description:

This photos and video footage was used by my father to the wildlife rescue center report this captive Lizard. It is more or 14 years old according to the owner with a total body length just three feet to short for its age. The tail is cut, deformed and never regrown. Though it is fed well, its still living in an unnatural life inside a 2 sq. meters concrete cubicle.

Habitat:

confined in a 2 sq. m. concrete cage.

Well, the authorities observed that it is too old and too slow to be released in the wild and very at ease with humans so they ask us to take custody of it and my father released him in our private mini forest. It is a well secured and well guarded 2 acres wildlife walled but open wildlife sanctuary.
