Chrysopelea Paradisi
Jungle type setting in Bohol, Philippines.
This snake seems to be able to climb straight up a smooth wall. Likes to jump and glide to it's destination. Also prefers to drop straight down from a tree to grab it's prey.
MIchael - On the Project Noah web site, you can edit this spotting and move the pin on the Google Maps applet to the correct spotting location, if the initial location is not accurate as you mentioned in your comment below.
Dotun55 - If you think it is a different species than identified, you could also use the Suggest ID function if you wanted to. I'm only comfortable identifying snakes in the US, so I can't confirm whether or not this is C. paradisi.
Not a sea snake. My farm is located far from the water. These snakes are very common on my farm.
Hi Michael. Welcome to Project Noah. Cool first spotting - I've never seen a snake patterned quite like that before. When you get a chance, can you edit this spotting to add the scientific name (Chrysopelea paradisi), so it does not get classified as 'unidentified'. (see the FAQ for definitions of identified/unidentified)
The snake was spotted on my farm in Sagbayan, Bohol NOT Tagbilaran City as your map says!
