White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

About a few hours old.

Habitat:

Field near a river.

Notes:

This individual had fallen off of a steep bank near a river. My field tech and I scooped it up with no apparent injuries and took it back to the field where its mother was waiting about 100 yards away.
