Description:

This tall bird measures about two feet tall with a wingspan of up to four feet. It's distinctive pink color comes from the pigments in its diet which it filters out from the water.

Habitat:

Wet, marshy areas, urban areas, and estuaries.

Notes:

Commonly mistaken for the flamingo.
