Found it on the sidewalk in Los Alamos, NM
It's definitely a swallowtail butterfly larva, and I based my ID on photos of caterpillars from this area that are this particular color/pattern. Take a look and see what you think. :-)
This looks like it could maybe be some kind if sphinx moth caterpillar but I'm not aure
