Description:

A small White Tailed Deer.

Habitat:

Found on Big Pine Key.

Notes:

There were only a few dozen of these deer left in the 1950's.There are approximately 750 now. They are protected and have lost their fear of humans. Many ornamental plants have to have fences around them to protect them from the deer.
