About 15 millimeters in body length, mostly metallic purple in color as shown.

Habitat:

Found in mostly hardwood forest with some conifers, in an area that had been logged heavily. Map location is approximate. Location is near "Gate 30" of Quabbin Reservoir.

Notes:

This is the first or second state record for Massachusetts.
