Ring-necked snake #3 (young of the year)

Diadophis punctatus

Description:

Slender nonvenomous snake. Dark brown with yellow band around the neck & yellow belly. 1 of 8 spotted within a few 100 yards in this location. This individual had an incomplete band.

Habitat:

Bicentennial trail

Notes:

I'll be adding a separate spotting for each of the 6 snakes of this species I managed to photograph (2 escaped before I could capture them!) as the data is being recorded for Snake count.
