Water snake

Description:

I dont know its english name but locally we call it 'Pani Hap' meaning water snake. I found this one right beside a paddy field during winters when it probably came out for a little sunlight. I noticed by following all the crow's 'caws'!! Sadly after 1 hour it died. It was sick thats i was able to hold it on a stick and take a photo with the other hand!! Its been living there since 3 years and every monsoon i see the storks chasing it!! :P

Habitat:

damp shallow water bodies...
