A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Odocoileus virginianus
A doe specimen of the whitetail deer. Extremely common here in Kansas but I always seem to find does and never bucks. I'm not entirely sure this isn't a mule deer. Mule deer have large ears, black on the tail, and are larger. However, they aren't extant to my region which makes me decide on this being a whitetail doe.
Whitetail deer are incredibly wide spread and adapt and thrive to a number of environments through both North and South America.
