Pygmee Elephant

Elephas maximus borneensis

Description:

Big pile of poo. And big marks in the mud.

Habitat:

Near a bit of Jungle near Kinabatangan river. Also near a newly made road.

Notes:

Unfortunately the road was put between the jungle and a fresh water stream. We passed several times and there were new tracks every time. A group of 20 Elephants had been seen a week before we arrived. We did not see the elephant itself. It was very close to Palm oil land.
