Trifolium repens


This patch of white clover had distinct deep red patches spreading out from the midrib of the leaves. Some leaves showed slight red colouring along the margins.

They appeared very attractive growing amidst patches of white clover with white zig-zag markings along the middle of the leaves. This clump was small and isolated. It is reported that these red markings are genetically determined as are the four-leaved variants. For regular white clover, here's a link:
