Deccan ground gecko

Geckoella deccanensis

Description:

The Deccan ground gecko, also known as Gunther's Indian Gecko (Geckoella deccanensis) is so similar to the banded ground gecko (Geckoella albofasciatus), also known as Boulenger’s Indian Gecko. Not exactly sure how they differ as I also see articles on google stating they are conspecific, no wonder! :) I leave it to the experts to precisely ID this guy. They are generally ground-dwelling and most Geckos do not have eye-lids but just a transparent membrane which they lick to keep it clean.
