Galbula ruficauda
At first glance, it seems a large hummingbird, due both to its long and thin beak, and the greenish-yellowish iridescent color of most its plumage. Actually, it belongs to the Galbulidae family, while hummingbirds belong to the Trochilidae. In adult males, the throat is white, while the female and male juveniles it is rusty. It occurs in much of Brazil, in the forested areas and droughts in denser environments, especially at its edges and clearings.
