Aphis nerii
Yellow aphids with black cornicles, legs, and antennae. These aphids had an ant guarding them, who refused to move so that I could get a better picture.
Spotted on a plant on the edge of a large meadow.
Some ants "farm" aphids - they protect the aphids, and in return the ants eat the honeydew that the aphids release from their alimentary canals. Thus forming a mutualistic relationship.
