Small-headed Fly

Eulonchus sapphirinus

Description:

This was a new and interesting fly for me. Aka spider fly (because they are parasitoids of spiders). They are specialized pollinators. Identified by the swollen abdomen and smallish head.

Habitat:

Spotted in my backyard garden.
