After comparing a few similar caterpillars I'm pretty sure your suggestion is correct. I have to say this is probably the biggest caterpillar I've ever seen. It's approximately 3.5 inches long and almost 1 inch wide. It was crawling along the wall next where my daughter was sitting on our patio. Needless to say people probably heard her scream from a mile away. Haha!
