Looks like a red-tailed hawk to me! I live in Broomfield and about two weeks ago the Swainson's Hawks started migrating South. Red-tails are checker board migrate so many of them stay here year round! Red-Tails are the most common hawk in Colorado and happen to be my favorite! The only other hawk that size in Colorado are Ferruginous Hawk but they are primarily found out east! Nice spotting!
