Brazilian Leafhopper

Protalebrella brasiliensis

Description:

This beautiful leafhopper is plentiful in gardens and yards. I have seen many in both Orlando and Crystal River, which are on opposite coasts in Central Florida. Though small, they are very distinctive and their colors are more contrasting than the other species in the genus, Protalebrella tertia.

Habitat:

Beggar's Tick in a suburban yard
