African Mask Crab Spider

Synema imitator

Description:

I suggest you plant lavender for action in the back yard! I have no idea why the cotton stainers mating pair are trying to get this crab spiders meal (bee), not to mention the cluster of tiny flies that want part of the action! Storm in a tea cup!

Sure, free food is not to be passed by! In the animal kingdom there is such a thing as a free lunch.

they are so so tiny, but i will crop a few and add them. I was wondering what they were doing there!! I will add all this information to the spot! Found another one today with flies but this time it was the Flower Crab Spider. Do you perhaps know the reason for the cotton stainers joining the festivities?

The flies are "Jackal flies" (Family Milichiidae) Scavengers that hang around crab spiders, wasps, robber flies etc as per the Field Guide.
