Canvasbacks

Description:

Drakes have brick-red heads and neck, orange eye, black bill. The lower neck has a black bib that extends down the front of the breast. The longer black bill causes the Canvasback to have a much different frontal profile than similar ducks. lower body is gray to white.

Habitat:

Marshes, lakes, bays and estuaries
