Short-grass prairie

Notes:

Nest located near the top of an old windmill. Carcasses of toads and lizards were present.

I climbed up when the parents were out and we secured a camera to record the happenings in the nest.

Oh my gosh, I bet! Did you just climb up there to see them?! Were the parents around? I could only imagine being dive-bombed by Swainson's Hawks 30 feet in the air!
