Spider

Description:

There are two spiders in this shot...they were on the same web...the smaller one seems to betaking care of the egg case. The larger one has a large, rounded abdomen (maybe it is the female)

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. This species was seen in the garden of the resort.

Notes:

Can this be some sort of parental care? Do spider males stick around to take care of the eggs/progeny?
