snake

Description:

This is a baby snake. We think it might be a rattlesnake, but are not sure. This snake blends in with the environment very well, so in one photo we circled the snake in dark green so it would be easier to locate. We know it is a baby because it was small and skinny. It doesn't have a rattle yet (if it is a rattlesnake).

Habitat:

We saw this in the bushes on the side of the road in Los Angeles, just outside the Santa Monica mountains.
