Green anole

Anolis carolinensis

Description:

Medium sized lizard that is not native to Texas.The distinctive marking from the brown anole is the blue around the eyes and the color and shape of the flap.The lizard can also change colors like a chameleon.

Habitat:

Resting on a fence.This species is very commonly found in our yard and there in most parts of of Texas.

Notes:

It had a half brown tail because a preadetor tried to eat it and the anole detached it's tail.
