Syrphid Fly larva

Description:

Small, somewhat caterpillar-like larva. Pale translucent coloration with brighter yellow and tan markings. Feeds on tiny, soft-bodied insects like aphids. Found crawling on our tent.

Habitat:

Wooded campground within temperate forest. Cedar Point County Park, New York.
