Description:

I spotted several of these foraging in small groups. Easily identified by their black and white head pattern and black throats. They prefer arid desert habitats. They are often found on the tops of spiny plants.

Habitat:

Spotted at Joshua National Park in southern California. Semi-arid desert and mountain habitats.
