Heliconius charithonia
Family: Nymphalidae Subfamily: Heliconiinae Wings are black, long and narrow, with thin yellow stripes. I noticed four small red spots on upper wings.
Host plant: Passion-vines Habitat: Tropical hammocks, moist forests, edges, fields. Spends little time in full sun.
Here are two of my six Zebra Longwing butterflies that hatched this morning.
