Black Widow

Description:

Black Widows are highly venomous spiders. Females are shiny and black with a very large, rounded abdomen. They have a red hourglass shape on the underside of the abdomen.

Habitat:

This spider was found in her web between a trashcan and a sidewalk.

Although I know they aren't agressive, and won't bite unless you mess with them, they still give me the heebie jeebies. And their webs are a pain in the butt to sweep. They are messy and very very strong! I've got lots of them that live in my garage, unfortunately.... :(
