Description:

Bird has a white bill, black head with dark grey body and white patch on the rear. With binoculars we could see the red eye. We were unable to see the feet or watch the bird in flight.

Habitat:

Forest Hill Pond is shallow boating pond fed by stormwater on the grounds of the former J.D.Rockefeller home in urban East Cleveland. Lake Erie is within view. The pond is annually stocked with fish and is known to be frequented by migrating birds.
