Asian forest scorpion

Heterometrus sp

Description:

All black, massive body, some 15 cm in length. The members of this genus are also known as Giant forest scorpions.

Habitat:

Central Sri Lanka, around Kandy, village close to forest.

Notes:

Since long time, I'm trying to organise my photo archives, and I'm almost at the end - but some very old gems keep popping out .... such as this one, taken during my stay in Lanka end of the last century.
