Description:

Parthenos aspila is a fast-flying endemic to northern New Guinea, including satellite islands from 0-800 meters. A spotting showing the underside of the wings of this species is found here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/141... Habitat:

Spotted on the forest floor along a survey transect in mixed lowland equatorial rainforest (freshwater swamp forest/sago swamp).
