Description:

Photo take at -40 ft on a coral reef , Thick encrustations to masses with low to high to globular volcano-shaped oscular mounds. Dark brown exterior and creamy interior. Very crumbly. It is one of the most abundant sponges in Caribbean reefs.

Habitat:

Inhabitant of shallow water coral reef, found from Florida, all the Caribbean Sea, Central America to north Brazil.
