Melese (Tiger) Moth

Melese peruviana

Description:

Found at Abra Patricia in Northern Peru (2,300m Alt), attracted to night lights. Predominately blue and yellow, the only English name I have been able to find is 'Tiger Moth' with a reference to this species in Ecuador. If anyone has any more ideas on this I would be pleased to hear them.

Yes, indeed it is. I am guessing due to your handle that you are a moth enthusiast?
