Green Keelback - Juvenile snake

Macropisthodon plumbicolor

Description:

A small 15 cm long and less than a cm thick snake. Green color with black stripes. Beautiful snake (non-venomous, - added after identification).

Habitat:

Phansad WildLife Sanctuary (PWLS) near Alibag / Murud / Roha. Dense forest.

Notes:

Used to assume the curled S-shape to attack. Pink bifid tongue. Quite an active snake. Many photos I took were blurry (even with flash).
