White Antenna Wasp Moth

Amata nigriceps

Description:

Smallish moth with furry black and orange banded body, black wings with orange patches, and antenna with white tips to them (about the last 1/4 of their length). It also has an orange furry collar and a tuft of orange hair in front of the eyes and antenna. There are also orange patches on the front legs, though I must confess I didn't notice them till looking at the photo.

Notes:

This one was found indoors, clinging to a wooden window frame which you can see in the photo is almost exactly the same golden orange colour as the patches on its wings. I don't know if it alighted there for camouflage or just because it was close to the daylight...

Scientific name is Amata nigriceps, which we like to have filled in as Project Noah uses scientific names to organize and index all spottings. Here is mine, spotted not too far away from yours:
