Psora decipiens
Thallus is bluish white but can be variable. Sometimes pinkish or reddish brown. Grows on bare, calcareous sand or mineral-rich soil, widespread but very local, coastal and montane.
Spotted in soil. Exposed, open arid habitat in southeastern New Mexico. Chihuahuan Desert.
