Hi Gylma- I gave you the wrong species name on this. Description was correct but I just noticed the species suggestion was incorrect.

Sure! It would be great to see the other picture you have as well!

Thank you BrendanSmith, Thank for the ID and answering my question. It was a juvenile 2 inches tail and all. I was just about to post another one that looks very different than this one. Thanks again.

Right, this one has very bright distinctive markings! The Canopy anole is also known as the Lemur anole or Ghost anole. They are known for having a dark bar between the eyes and a dark U-shaped mark on the back of the head and neck. Females typically have 4-5 square or diamond shaped blotches on the dorsum and stripe running middorsum. may be a juvenile female based on the estimate of size you gave. Best description/evidence of the species was given by Jay Savage in "The Amphibians and Reptiles of Costa Rica."

Thank you BrendanSmith. Would you guide me? I just can not find a Anole with those distinctive makings, the triangles all along the white spine line.

Tank you, Gerardo Aizpuru
