I have just zoomed in on one of my shots and the halteres are there.Chun - Crane fly could be a good call. There are more than 700 species of Tipuloidea in Indonesia, now we need to get a bit closer.Dave
It does look like a Crane fly but doesn't seem to have halteres.
Looks like a crane fly in a strange position.
