Rivet-like stitches on a leaf. This was the side/roof of the actual nest which hung below or was enclosed by this leaf on one side. It was an old nest and the rest of the structure was crumbling.
We lopped of some leafy branches of a Lagerestromia tree because the branches were almost touching the overhead electric lines. I checked for caterpillars (Yes!) and ants (no shots) etc and discovered this. Urban residential area.
