Lamium purpureum
Small, upright wildflower with finely haired leaves. The leaves are generally purplish at the top, transitioning to green near the bottom, but can be mostly green. Small pink/purple hooded flowers are produced between the leaves. This is an introduced and invasive plant in North America (Native to Europe and Asia), however, it is an early bloomer and is an important source of pollen for bees in early Spring. The plant is edible as a leafy green.
